190 Pounds Lighter
Well, actually it would probably be more accurate to say 190 pounds heavier - as that is how much new clothing was collected at the Embroidery Network Foundation's annual DoDuds Apparel Drive in Nashville this year.
Thanks to everyone that participated and donated new apparel and products or funds to this ongoing project to support the families that really need it!
All of the collected items were inspected and sorted, and then shipped to 4 different domestic violent support centers that serve women and children in critical times of need. Because there were many cold weather items collected this time, the goods were shipped to centers in Ohio and Indiana, where the sweats and jackets will definitely be needed when winter arrives!
And in the end, ENF did end up 190 pounds lighter, as all the apparel was shipped out to these facilities after Embroidery Mart. If you know about a facility or program that would benefit by receiving shipments of new apparel from the Embroidery Network Foundation, please contact Susan Ritchie at NNEP, 330-678-4887 or susan@nnep.com. We are always adding new facilities to the list of eligible recipients.
Again, our heartfelt thanks to everyone that contributed - together, we CAN make a difference in the lives of these families!
