Auction Being Held For Colorado Timberline’s Equipment

Auction Being Held For Colorado Timberline’s Equipment

PPL Group & The Branford Group will be auctioning off the machinery and equipment of defunct supplier Colorado Timberline (asi/91263), which ceased operations in September.

The auction will consist of two phases: all of the facility and support assets – forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet racking, scales, etc. – will be available for online bidding only starting January 10, 2019, at 8 a.m. MST. Then, on January 16, 2019, all of the major production equipment and inventory will be available for bidding online or in person starting at 11 a.m. MST.

The preview and inspection period, which is open to the public, is on January 15 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. MST. The equipment locations are at 11351 E. 45th Ave, Denver, CO, and 5050 Moline St., Denver CO. For more information on the auction, visit www.thebranfordgroup.com.

“The majority of everything they bought was in the last couple years so most of it is in very good condition,” says Bill Gardner, president and CEO of The Branford Group. “It makes for a fantastic opportunity for other manufacturers to buy new equipment at very good discounted prices.”

On September 12, the 5-year-old Denver-based supplier announced it was shutting down via its website and social media platforms. “It is with great difficulty and a heavy heart that we must inform you that effective immediately, Colorado Timberline has ceased all operations indefinitely,” the company said in a notice to customers and other industry firms.

“We have recently been plagued by several IT events. Unfortunately, we were unable to overcome the most recent ransomware attack and as a result, this unfortunate and difficult decision was made. We greatly appreciate the support and loyalty from each of you over the years.”

In summer 2017, Timberline Colorado was acquired by Chicago-based Frontenac and Connecticut-based Charter Oak Equity, according to a press release. Owner Dan Greene left the company in May, according to an auto response from his company email account, Business Den reported.
