What Does YOUR Success Look Like?
What does the SUCCESS of your embroidery / apparel decoration business look like to you? At NNEP we work with so many different kinds of business owners and they each have a unique story of how they got into the business and a unique definition of their success.
They are in business:
- Full-time
- Part-time
- For when I retire
- Because I wanted something to do while the kids are in school
- Because I love making these things
- Because I have several days off every week and wanted to start a business
- Because I could not find what I wanted so I decided to start making them myself
These are only a few of the ways people come into this industry as new business owners. My question today is this - now that you are in business, what does YOUR SUCCESS look like?
It may feel like a casual question - but it is not nearly as simple as it would seem.
Here's what I mean -
When you head off on a vacation, you start at Point A. You read a map or use GPS or some other tool that tells you how to get where you want to go. Eventually you end up at Point B - mission accomplished. Yeah, You!
Success in your business can be defined in so many different ways. Here are several markers of success that NNEP members have shared over the years:
- How many hours I work each week
- How much money comes through my hands
- How much money stays in my pocket
- Being home with my children
- Being available to my family
- How much I pay myself
- Being able to replace an existing income
- Being able to care for a relative
- Not having to punch a clock
- Not having to work towards someone else's agenda
- Not having to report to a boss
- Having no debt
- Being able to order whatever I need when I need it
- Deciding what I want to do and when
As you can see, there are countless ways to define success - there are endless variations of the definition for your success.
What GPS or map or tool are you using to take your business from Point A, where you are now, to Point B, whatever your definition of success is?
Here is my challenge for you - take 10-20 minutes and really think about what the definition of success IS for your business. This is really important, because if you do not know what it is, how will you know when you achieve it? That would be like going on vacation yet never knowing if you ever arrived, because you had no final destination in mind.
Here at NNEP, our mission is to help you arrive at your destination - the success of your business. We pack everything we have on the journey (and it is quite a lot since we've been in this industry for over 20 years, helping 1000's of businesses) so that you do not have to carry all of it all by yourself. We are more than happy to do some of the heavy lifting for you. We are happy to help you avoid expensive delays and detours. In fact, with the expertise and experience of the NNEP staff, you will find yourself in the "express lane" rather than trapped in one dead end after another.
Join NNEP now so that you can merge into the express lane to success with all the other NNEP members!
You know what? I have an offer for you. Email me, jennifer (at) nnep (dot) com, and mention "Success Express Lane" in the subject line, and I will schedule a 15 minute "Your Dream Business" call (a service normally only available to NNEP members) with you for no charge, to help you determine exactly where you want to go. Having your destination in mind certainly increases the chances of arriving there, doesn't it!
What road are you on? Do you want to stay there or would you like to jump into the Express Lane, with NNEP riding shotgun?
