Face Mask Tutorial and Free Design File

Urban Threads Face Mask Tutorial & Sew File
Many embroidery professionals are now making face masks - way to go!
Here is a link from Urban Threads for a free machine embroidery tutorial and sew file to create masks on your machine - Thank you Urban Threads!
Because elastic is scarce now, you can use bias tape, make your own bias tape (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRlN0SM2Je0) or even use t-shirt fabric cut into strips to make the ties.
Visit WeNeedMasks.org for a list of facilities where you can send your masks: WeNeedMasks.org. Check to see if the facility you will send masks to has any specific requirements so that you are sending masks that they can use.
I’ve been making masks too, and have a few local places that continue to ask for them.
Again, thanks for pitching in!
Please note: Wearing fabric face masks will not prevent you from getting COVID-19. They will help reduce the spread of the virus, hopefully. If you make and wear a mask, wash it after wearing it. Always put the same side of the mask against your skin (that is why you make them with 2 different fabrics, so you can tell!). Never wear a fabric facemask without washing it between uses.
